Virtual Private Office - Metaverse

A private office in a metaverse has to work as a room. We designed one you can sit in, not a skybox with a table pasted on.

The brief

A virtual private office: a table people can sit at, light that reads as a room, and walls that hold when you turn your head.

The client is under NDA. The job was the space, not a named platform we can advertise.

The challenge

A still of a conference room is easy. A room a headset has to walk is a layout problem.

  • Furniture at a scale a seated person actually occupies
  • Lighting that describes the table, not a blown-out ceiling
  • A screen wall that can take a share later without rebuilding the room
  • Geometry light enough to load, heavy enough that the room does not look like a set

How we approached it

The table sits on the centreline. Chairs, the sideboard and the screen wall were placed from that, the way a real meeting room is planned, not as props around a camera.

The lights are a grid, not a HDRI dump. That keeps the table readable when someone looks up, and it keeps the poly count honest.

What we built

A private office environment: room, table, seating, sideboard, screen wall, and the lighting rig. The photograph is the view from the head of the table.

We do not publish the client, the platform, or a user count.

Results

The engagement is under NDA. We do not publish who commissioned it, or how many rooms were stood up from the same files.

In use

A later brand or a later screen can sit in the same room. The layout does not have to be rebuilt because someone wanted a different logo on the wall.

This engagement is covered by a confidentiality agreement, so the client is not named and some implementation detail is described in general terms.
