AI Character Conversation Platform

The brief

The client wanted a product people could use to invent a character - voice, appearance, behaviour - then talk to that character and ask it to generate pictures in the same thread.

The public write-up here covers the platform mechanics only. The client's brand, audience and any adult positioning are excluded.

The challenge

A character is not a chatbot with a different name. It has to stay consistent across turns, and an image request has to come from the same persona the user has been talking to.

• Character creation that stores personality, look and constraints as reusable state
• Conversation that remembers the character, not just the last message
• Image generation triggered from the chat, attributed to that character
• Accounts, sessions and administration so the product can actually be operated

How we approached it

We split the product into a conversation service and an image worker that share the character record. The chat stays fast; generation is a job the character can request, not a second application the user has to open.

Administration sits beside the consumer surface: sessions, users and usage can be inspected without reading every thread by hand.

What we built

A web platform for registration, character setup, threaded chat, and on-demand image generation from the conversation. The same character definition drives both the replies and the pictures.

The same generation discipline we use for controlled image pipelines applies: the output is constrained by the character, not left as an open prompt box.

Results

The engagement is under NDA. We do not publish the client, traffic figures, or conversion numbers.
